Product Care - Watch

Cleaning
You can use a toothbrush with soapy water to clean all bands (except sensitive materials and leather) and the waterproof Swatch housings. Dry the watch with a soft cloth afterwards.
Water resistance
Your Swatch is water resistant. Hard impacts can cause your watch to leak without you noticing. So if you are going to use it in water (while swimming, but also especially while rinsing your hands or showering, etc.), you should have your watch checked regularly for water resistance.
Battery replacement
Avoid placing your watch on loudspeakers or electric motors with strong magnetic fields, as this could affect the function of your Swatch watch.
Swimming in the ocean
Always rinse your watch with lukewarm water afterwards. Seawater particularly affects the quality of leather, plastic and the printed material.
Magnetic fields
Avoid placing your watch on loudspeakers or electric motors with strong magnetic fields, as this could affect the function of your Swatch watch.
Shocks
Hard impacts can damage your watch in several ways. Therefore, avoid all strong shocks, including thermal shocks, if possible.
Temperature
Avoid extreme temperatures above 60°C (140°F), below –10°C (14°F) and large differences in temperature.
Date change
The date of your Swatch changes between midnight and 4 a.m. Therefore, please do not try to change the date setting during this time. This could seriously damage the movement.
Polishing the glass
Slight scratches on the synthetic watch glass can be removed by polishing. Use a polishing cream (or abrasive toothpaste) or contact your Swatch retail store.
Chemical products
Avoid putting the watch into contact with solvents, detergents, mosquito repellent, perfumes, sunscreens and other chemical and cosmetic products. This could damage the band, housing, glass or other synthetic parts of your watch.
Adjusting hands
If the CHRONO hands are badly aligned (e.g. due to a shock or light impact), they can easily be adjusted or calibrated, returning them to their original position. You can find more information on our home page under manuals
